TAX FORMS

If people need tax forms, they are available as follows:

California and IRS tax forms are no longer available through the library, except for photocopy (see next entry).

Binders of popular forms for the current (if it arrives in a timely manner) and previous tax years that people can photocopy from are behind the reference desk - the US forms @ T 22.57:1132/

and California forms @ F800 F6. Past years' reproducible binders of popular forms are in Gov Pubs (same call numbers).

The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) site is @ http://www.irs.gov/

US Tax forms may also be requested by telephone at 1-888-TAX-FORM. They arrive in 10 business days.

The California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) site is @ http://www.ftb.ca.gov/

Some forms may be available at San Diego City public libraries. See http://www.sandiego.gov/public-library/searching-the-net/taxforms.shtml

TAX FORM ASSISTANCE

Please note that although we do provide some tax forms to the public, we can not provide tax assistance. Students (and other SDSU affiliates) can receive free income tax help from SDSU accounting students participating in the Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Call the School of Accountancy at 619-594-5070 for information or see http://vita.sdsu.edu/index.html.

TAX FORM SCAMS

There are a number of scams involving fake IRS tax forms (they ask for PIN #, bank, etc). Information about these scams is at:
