The vast majority of our print reference sources are indexed in either the Biography and Genealogy Master Index or in the Literary Index:
Biography and Genealogy Master Index (Index to current and historical reference sources providing biographical information on individuals, both living and deceased, from every field of activity and from all areas of the world).
Literary Index (The library owns hundreds of volumes of literary reference books published by the Gale Group that provide biographical and critical information on a large number of authors from all over the world. This database is an index to the contents of those books, which include such series as Contemporary Authors, Dictionary of Literary Biography, Twentieth Century Literary Criticism, and Contemporary Literary Criticism).
We do have some reference material not covered by these indexes, including such items as the following:
Asian American Novelists (Ref PS153.A84 A825 2000)
A-Z Guide to Modern Literary and Cultural Theorists. (PN 74 .A2 1995 Ref )
Dictionary of Literary Biography. The volumes in this continuing series are located throughout the SDSU Reference collection according to the subject matter of the particular volume. A cumulative index for locating entries on specific authors is published each year in the Dictionary of Literary Biography Yearbook, located at PS 221 .D52 Ref.
