Factiva

The most recent two weeks of the Wall Street Journal are available on the front page of Factiva. Note that there are two pull-down menus, one for the date to be viewed and the other for the section to be displayed.

If you'd like to search within the text of the Wall Street Journal over an extended period of time

• Select the main tab for SEARCH. Enter your term in the Search Box and then click on the link for SOURCE BROWSER which is one of the search options further down the screen.

• In the second window which is opened by Factiva, click on the main tab for PUBLICATIONS and the sub-tab for TITLE and finally click on the letter W for Wall Street Journal.

• Scroll down this list and highlight the entry for the Wall Street Journal.

• Click the ADD SELECTED SOURCES button. You'll notice that this title now appears in the SOURCES TO INCLUDE window.

• Click on ADD TO SEARCH and then click the OK button when prompted.

• You should now only be searching only the Wall Street Journal, although there will be no real indication of this on the main search page. This is only reflected in the Source Browser window.
