To locate a thesis written at San Diego State University under a particular topic or within a particular department, perform the following LC Subject search in the PAC: "SDSU Thesis" followed by the topic or department name: 

   "SDSU Thesis" followed by the topic or department name.
   For example, SDSU thesis anthropology

For a doctoral dissertation, use: 

   "SDSU--Thesis--Name of Department or Discipline--Doctoral".  
   For example, "SDSU Thesis Clinical Psychology Doctoral".

To search for dissertations (including the full text for many dissertations), use ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (PQDT) at http://infodome.sdsu.edu/research/databases/dissertations.shtml

Note: Most SDSU theses written after 2000 are now classified (and shelved in the stacks) by department instead of by subject. For example: 

 Public Health: RA 2.2
 Psychology: BF 9.2
 History: D 9.2
 Anthropology GN 2.2
 Child Development: HQ 767.822
 Linguistics: P 9.2
