TELEPHONE DIRECTORIES

Local (current) San Diego directories (including Tijuana (Ref Desk F1391.T36 T57) are behind the Ref Desk. UCSD and the San Diego Public Library (SDPL) have a complete set of U.S. telephone books (white and yellow pages). UCSD also has many international phone books for most countries.

In our general rare book collection within Special Collections, we do house San Diego city and county directories that date from 1886-87 to 1984. The call number for the various volumes is Special Collections fo F869 .S22 A177. The directories include addresses for San Diego city and county residents and indicate households and businesses that had phones, though numbers are not necessarily provided.

(Requires SDPL library card for remote access). The San Diego County Library (SDCL) also has Reference USA.
