SCULPTURE -- HANGING DISCUS

Placed in the San Diego State University Malcolm Love Library in 1973.

Description: "Hanging 50 feet (16m) down a five story stairwell, this huge motorized piece has seventeen aluminum discs, some of which are eight feet (2.6m)in diameter. The single motor mounted above spins the main shaft, while various discs mounted on ball bearings are free to spin independently."
