Article databases

Various databases will be useful, depending on the topic. Two databases that might be useful for many topics are American History and Life and PAIS. Newspaper articles can also be useful.

Compilations of laws

We do have some books that are compilations of the laws on a given topic. These can be found using LC subject headings (e.g. Drugs -- Law and legislation -- United States) or word search (they usually include the word "compilation"). These are generally the actual laws, not analyses.

   examples:
Compilation of selected acts concerning national forests and related matters
Compilation of food and drug laws

The laws

United States Statutes at Large. 1789-ongoing. AE 2.111: Ref/US
