Geology theses and undergraduate research reports (senior thesis reports) are interfiled in the main reference collection. See http://infodome.sdsu.edu/research/guides/science/geologyblr.shtml#Books

We stopped cataloging undergraduate research reports in 1993. (In October 2007, we received these post 1993 reports from the Geology Department. They are awaiting processing.)

Geology theses do not normally circulate, and copyright prevents us from copying the entire thesis, but other libraries can request the microfiche copy on interlibrary loan.

Some geology theses (and sometimes theses from other departments) are held for a year or two before placing them in the library, due to concern about pending patents or other commercial interests. See the Graduate and Research Affairs policy on Restricted Use of Thesis.
