COLOR PRINTING AND COPYING

Color Copier in the Copy Center: $1.00 per page

Color Printers are located in Student Computing Lab and in Reference Services: 65 cents per page

The color laser printer in Reference is the one in the middle, printer #2. Currently the choice still reads "Color printer in Media."

If the color printer in Reference is down or a student prefers to use the color printer in the Student Computing Lab then students can save their work to a shared temp file on the workstations called "Networked Temporary Folder." And then they can go to the Student Computing Lab and print it out there. For more on Networked Temporary Folder from Mark Figueroa: "The new icon located on the Desktop (Networked Temporary Folder) is a network shared folder for patrons to use for temporarily saving items they are working on. The SCC has been using a network shared folder for many years. The original reason I added it was for students to save items they needed to print in color. The shared folder can be accessed from almost any computer in the Library, SCC and 24/7 Study Area. However, the shared folder is based completely on the honor system. Students may read, write, save and delete any or all documents, downloads etc.. located in that folder. Most students who use the SCC are aware of this folder. It's only meant for a location for students to briefly store files."
