Remember, you can also limit to material type "maps/atlases" in the PAC (but the sheet maps are not cataloged).

An example would be the Historical Atlas of California (G 1526 S1 B4 Ref)

Also see the Maps section of the SDSU Library. The San Diego - history map drawer includes things like old street maps.
